  2. As for potatoes on the glycemic index, the number is calculated from lots of stuff that has wildly different numbers, then averaged out eliminating its meaningfulness. Sweet potatoes, for example, are high and very high is something I’ve never even heard of. Yacon is listed. The best glycemic number is waxy
    white potatoes such as Yukon gold or red potatoes (My favorites). they are right in the middle. I had hypoglycemia most of my life and I found potatoes the best cure when my sugar was low. Sugar spikes too much and protein takes too long. Potatoes were perfect which nobody believed until glycemic stuff became available info.

  3. How do you measure 1 or 2 pounds loss. Variable water retention can be that much easily. I’m probably talking women here.

  4. Go gluten free. Most pastas are usually low ratio. In my pantry: Signature penne rigate (corn & rice) 4.0; Barilla (corn & rice) 2.2; Barilla red lentil penne 5.6 but it has13grams of protein (duh, lentils). I have a brand called tinkyada with nothing but brown rice and it’s 22. Amy Chun’s brown rice pad Thai noodles is also 22. I guess brown rice isn’t so good. But there is pasta out there. And probably will be more as more people go gluten free

  5. losing weight is easy, you just need to make sure to eat a high protein breakfast that would help reduce cravings and calorie intake throughout the day ????

  6. I always thought dieting is expensive and 'healthy' food costs a lot. Little did I know. I got my diet plan from Agoge Diet and I was able to select foods that fit my budget.
